COOKIE POLICY
Effective date: April 2025
This policy explains how LinkCash uses cookies and similar technologies.
1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They help the site remember information about your visit.
2. COOKIES WE USE
a) Strictly necessary cookies
Name: next-auth.session-token (or __Secure-next-auth.session-token on HTTPS)
Purpose: Keeps you logged in across page loads. Without this cookie the platform cannot function.
Duration: Session (expires when you close your browser, or after 30 days if you stay logged in).
Can be disabled: No — the site will not work without it.
b) LocalStorage (not cookies, but similar)
Keys: linkcash_pending_unlock, linkcash_pending_unlock_shortcode
Purpose: Temporarily stores your in-progress payment order ID and link code so we can resume your unlock if you return after a TelePay redirect.
Duration: Cleared automatically after the payment is processed (success or failure), or after 24 hours.
Can be disabled: If you block localStorage the payment resume flow will not work.
3. COOKIES WE DO NOT USE
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, analytics cookies (Google Analytics, etc.), or any third-party cookies.
4. HOW TO MANAGE COOKIES
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling the session cookie will log you out. See your browser's help documentation for instructions.
Browser cookie guides:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
5. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We will update this policy if we introduce new cookies. Continued use of the platform after the update constitutes acceptance.
